A calm place to read manga

MakaronComiks is a reading interface on top of MangaDex, the community library of scanlated and official comics. It takes the catalogue, the chapters and the page images from MangaDex and adds what a reader needs day to day: a library, reading history, updates from the series you follow, synced settings and a focused reader.

It is a small independent project, part of the Makaron family of sites, and it is not affiliated with MangaDex, AniList or any publisher.

• Read in a vertical strip or page by page, left to right or right to left, with zoom, auto-scroll, a data saver and keyboard shortcuts.
• Pick a translation: each chapter number lists every group's upload, and the site remembers the group you chose for a series.
• Keep a library with statuses, favourites and scores, and see new chapters of the series you follow on Updates.
• Continue where you stopped: progress and read chapters are saved as you read, in the browser or in your account.
• Discover through trending series, the latest uploads, filters by tag, demographic and status, and a random pick.
• Talk about a series or a single chapter, with spoilers hidden until clicked.
• Read in your language: the interface speaks English, Turkish and Spanish, and chapters can be limited to the languages you read.

Series details, chapters and page images come from MangaDex, where they are uploaded by scanlation groups and by publishers. Every chapter shows the group that made it. Scores, popularity, banners and characters come from AniList.

Nothing is copied into this site's database: it asks MangaDex when you open a page, and images reach you through this site's server.

When a series has an official English release, MangaDex usually lists only links to the publisher, and MakaronComiks shows those links on the series page. Buying the volumes or reading on the official platform is the best way to keep the stories coming.

By using MakaronComiks you agree to these simple rules.

• Age. Accounts are for people aged 13 or older. Adult titles stay hidden until you confirm you are 18 or older in Settings.
• Comments. Be kind. No harassment, hate, spam or advertising, no personal information about others, and mark spoilers with ||spoiler||. Comments that break these rules may be removed and the account closed.
• Your account. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what is posted from your account.
• No warranty. The site is offered as it is, for free. It depends on MangaDex and AniList and can be slow or unavailable when they are.
• Changes. These terms can change as the site grows. The date at the top of the privacy page shows the last change to how data is handled.

MakaronComiks hosts no chapter files. Removal requests for a chapter or a series belong with MangaDex, which handles them for its library; once a title is removed there, it disappears from this site too.
