No. Everything can be read without an account, and your history, progress and settings are kept in this browser. An account syncs them across devices and keeps them safe when browser data is cleared. Anything you read before signing in moves into the account automatically.

Some chapters on MangaDex are official releases that live on the publisher's site. MakaronComiks sends you there, which also supports the creators.
On a series page each chapter number lists every upload of it; pick the one you want. In the reader, press V or open the versions panel. The site remembers the group you chose for that series and prefers it for the next chapters.
Yes. Use Hide this group on the group's page, or manage hidden groups in Settings > Content. Their uploads then disappear from every list on the site; a direct link to one of their chapters still opens.

Turn on Data saver in Settings > Reader: pages then load as smaller, compressed images. Very new chapters can also be slow while MangaDex's image network catches up.
By default only titles rated safe are shown. Suggestive titles appear once you allow them in Settings > Content; adult titles also need you to confirm there that you are 18 or older. Their covers can stay blurred until you point at them.
Check your spam folder and give it a minute. If it still hasn't arrived, use Send a new code on the same screen. Codes expire after a few minutes, so always use the newest one.
Not at the moment. To use a different address, create a new account with it. Your username, display name and avatar can be changed any time in Settings > Profile.
Your profile and library are public by default, and you can make the library private in Settings > Profile. Your history, progress and reading activity chart are only ever shown to you. See the privacy policy for details.
In Settings > Account, enter your password and the confirmation word. The account and everything linked to it, comments included, are removed immediately and cannot be restored.

No. Chapters are read live from MangaDex, where scanlation groups and publishers upload them, and every chapter credits its group. When a series has an official release, its page links to it. More on the About page.
Removal requests go to MangaDex, which manages its library. Once something is removed there, it disappears from MakaronComiks as well, because nothing is stored here.
