The Lady and Her Dog: How to Start a Contract Marriage

“Please, Kuze-kun. I'll give you money—just marry me.”

Kanada Tsugumi, a painter, and Kuze Yoh—who models for the nude sketches in her artwork—are newlyweds who tied the knot just six months ago. While they appear to be a happily married couple on the surface, Yoh is actually a contract husband. Tsugumi paid him 30 million yen to play the role so she could escape an unwanted arranged marriage. As they live together under the same roof, Tsugumi and Yoh gradually begin to open up to one another. Yet, a deeply significant secret stands between them… A story about a contract binding two wounded souls—a relationship that began neither with love nor romance, but unfolds with bittersweet, heart-wrenching tension.
