The Sins of a Past Life and the Punishment of This Life

"Even after preserving these painful memories from my past life, what was it that you wished for?”

“My wish—both in my past life and this one—is only one thing: to love you, to be loved by you, and to be happy together.”

One day, Kanna, the daughter of a count, regains the horrifying memories of her past life. Overwhelmed by guilt over the sins she once committed, she shuts herself away for years. She continues to refuse her debut into high society, telling those around her—much to their concern: “I won’t marry. I want to spend the rest of my life in a convent.” I must never fall in love. I have no right to be loved…

Then one day, Kanna is forced to make her long-avoided social debut as the partner of William, her childhood friend who is two years younger than her. Unable to ruin William’s standing, she attends the ball—but… Guided by a mysterious voice, and reunited with the gentle William, Kanna begins to feel her hardened heart slowly soften and melt. What, then, was the sin she committed in her past life…?
