Synopsis
"What kind of murderer would a young child unintentionally follow like the Pied Piper (Pied Piper of Hamelin)?"
Michiko Aizawa moved to M City in T Prefecture with her two young children when her husband was transferred to another city. This is the place where she used to live when she was a child, but she never wants to set foot there again, as her younger sister had been the victim of a serial child murderer there 23 years earlier.
Moreover, as soon as she moved there, she learned that there had been another case of missing children in M City.
Michiko wants to think it is just a coincidence, but her daughter suddenly disappears.
