I Wanted to Enjoy a Slow Life While Exploring the Territory With a Secret Gift [Craft Skill], but I Was Intentionally Banished to the Frontier by Pretending to Be Incompetent

Rest is born as the eldest son of the Dine Count family. Although he lives a life without material hardship, he’s fed up with the customs and formalities of high noble society—its ceremonies, constraints, and countless obligations. Deep down, he’s always wanted to escape this position somehow. One day, he takes advantage of his stepmother’s schemes as she secretly maneuvers to make her own son, his half‑brother Burgess, the heir. Using her plots against the house, Rest successfully achieves his goal: he is expelled from the Dine family, just as he wanted. His place of exile is Eldba Island, the farthest outlying island of the kingdom. There, he takes on a new name, Rest Kaiel, and begins developing the territory with a few trusted retainers, all so they can live a laid‑back, genuinely free life together on this remote island.
